Known Issue: Production order is not created from Sales Orders form with error "The previous operation has not been completed yet" when Avalara is used

When a user attempted to create a production order directly from a sales order on the Sales Orders (SO301000) form, the system did not create the production order and displayed the following error: The previous operation has not been completed yet.

The issue occurred if the customer used an external tax provider and the sales order had unsaved changes that required tax recalculation.

This is a known issue in the following builds of Acumatica ERP:

We plan to resolve this issue in future Acumatica ERP Versions and deliver the resolution in the updates planned for Q4 2026.

Option 1: As a temporary workaround, you can import the AC374606.zip customization package, which is attached to this article, and publish the customization project. After you upgrade the system to the version that includes the fix for this issue, you must unpublish this customization project.

Please be aware that Acumatica Engineering does not provide further support for hotfix customizations. The next regular product update may break the solution.

Option 2: Create the production order separately on the Production Order Maintenance (AM201500) form and then link it to the sales order by clicking the Link Prod Order button on the Sales Orders (SO301000) form.
